Dad took mom and their two young sons to a very fancy restaurant for mom’s 27th birthday. The boys, aged 3 and 5, instructed to be on their best behavior, kept very quiet. The waiters served an amazing dinner, though mom’s steak was rather overdone. She gently whispered to her husband that she could hardly chew the steak.
When the chef made his appearance, he asked, “So, how is your steak, madame?” The protective five year old, for the first time opened his mouth to say,” This is not a steak, sir. This is a misteak!”

Once when trying to plan something for his wife’s birthday, a loving husband asked his 5 year-old daughter what they might do for mom’s birthday.
“I dunno”, she said.
“Well how do we show someone we love them?” he asked.
“You play with them” was her answer.
Parents are often tempted to buy their child’s love by giving them expensive gifts. Anything but the one thing that children desire the most, their time. If you want to show your love, do something that gives you.
